BALO carries out its studies, especially focusing on regions which the Turkish industrialists send the export products to, in order to make cost advantages of the exporter.
General Manager of BALO Mr Isteermis and Operation Manager Mr Aksoy have been to Duisport which is one of the biggest inland ports of the world and consisting of 9 different terminals and 300 logistics firms. The port authorities explained general infrastructure with its strategic capabilities. They also expressed that they will be very pleased to see BALO in such formation.
Following the port visit, the authorities also visited the terminals in Northern Rhein-Westphalia (Ruhr) as the target area for 2 block trains planning to be started on August. They had technical examinations about the infrastructure and capabilities. They visited the terminals in Duisburg, Herne, Neuss, Cologne and Koblenz and held meetings with relative authorities in terminals.
After three days researching BALO authorities reported these activities including also the visits to Munich, Nuremberg, Ingolstadt and Regensburg as part of the Munich Logistics Fair.
