The authorities of Luxemburg Embassy in Ankara visited BALO Batı Anadolu Lojistik Organizasyonlar Inc. , which was established by 92 chambers, commodity exchanges and organized industry zones under the leadership of TOBB (the highest representative of Turkish private sector), on 06 July 2012 in Izmir.
The visit to the BALO Office Izmir was made with the participation of the esteemed Luxemburg Ambassador, Arlette CONZEMIUS; Ministry of the Economy and Foreign Trade, Directorate Logistics, Mr Daniel LIEBERMANN; Chief Executive Officer of CFL Cargo, Mr Fernand RIPRINGER ; and Economic Advisor of the Luxemburg Embassy, Mrs Esra UYANUSTA MISRAHI.
The authorities indicated that they made this meeting in order to get detailed information about BALO and also stated that they desire Luxembourg to come under the BALO Project in planning stage.
BALO was presented as a national organization and the main goals were explained with the information of BALO studies in terms of the shipments that passing Turkey in transit to the Silk Route countries.
Logistics infrastructure of Luxemburg and possible advantages that will be provided by CFL Cargo to BALO in Luxemburg was described during the meeting. Result of the meeting was that Germany, France, Scandinavia and also Spain will be reachable with railway by regular services from Luxemburg.
Logistics workgroup of Luxemburg Ankara Embassy and BALO Batı Anadolu Lojistik Organizasyonlar Inc. have been agreed to continue to negotiations in order to improve cooperation and configure works.
Luxemburg Ambassador esteemed Arlette Conzemius stated her pleasure for this meeting by inviting BALO Batı Anadolu Lojistik Organizasyonlar Inc. management to Turkish Business Council that will be held by Luxemburg on September.
