Our Deputy General Manager Huseyin ISTEERMIS made visits to
Central and Azot Stations of Kutahya, Eskisehir TCDD Hasanbey Logistics Center
and obtained information about wagon loading. According to investigations
made in Kutahya and Azot Stations, stations were not found sufficient for
container loading. Therefore, there was determined that the shipments of
Kutahya will be brought to Eskisehir by road and then will be loaded into
BALO’s block trains.
In the same day, Eskisehir TCDD Hasanbey Logistics Center was
visited. There was seen that railway infrastructure works as concreting floor,
crain rails and ramps were completed. Tracking as superstructure work will also
be completed in near future.
In terms of BALO’s activities, TCDD Eskişehir Railway Freight Transport and Storage Center is very functional. It was considered that in terms of operational ease, the shipments of Kayseri, Gaziantep, Konya, and Ankara – transported via Derince- can be consolidated at Eskisehir Hasanbey Logistics Center and then organized according to their arrival points.
Express-Interfarcht, subsidiary of Rail Cargo Austria Group belonging to Austrian State Railway (ÖBB Holding AG), will provide scheduled block train services from Kapikule.
