Mr Bulent KOSMAZ, as Chairman of BALO, appeared as a guest on a tv show called “Çıkış Yolu” and informed the public opinion about BALO Bati Anadolu Logistics Organizations Inc.
Mr KOSMAZ, who participated on “Çıkış Yolu” tv show on Haberturk TV on 24 August 2012, Friday at 03.00 pm with Deputy General of Turkish Economy Bank (TEB) Mr Murat BOZ, made many statements about BALO Project in order to answer the questions of anchorman Sami ALTINKAYA in terms of Manisa’s contributes to the targets of 2023.
Mr KOSMAZ pointed that BALO Project using railway will reduce the logistics costs- as the largest cost item of exportation- by 30%. He also added that although this Project was born in Manisa, TOBB (The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey) owned it and it attracted great attention by chambers of commerce and commodity exchanges. Therefore, BALO Project turned into a national one which covers whole Turkey.
In addition, Mr KOSMAZ stated that during the project driven process, Mr Binali YILDIRIM as Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications and Turkish State Railways (TCDD) gave their supports and so the Project have accelerated. He explained that in the first half of the year 2013 railway transportation will start for not only to Central Europe but also to Eastern Europe and Scandinavian Countries through the cooperation with Viking Train. On the other hand, with the support of President for Pakistani Train, it will be possible to access from Baltic States to Central Asia and Far East in a wide geography.
Express-Interfarcht, subsidiary of Rail Cargo Austria Group belonging to Austrian State Railway (ÖBB Holding AG), will provide scheduled block train services from Kapikule.
