A Delegation with 300 Businessmen from the variours sectors headed by Belgian Crown Prince Philippe and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Didier Reynders have visited Turkey between 15th to 19th of October,2012 in order to make bilateral meetings intended economic collaboration.
Ambassador of the Port of Antwerpen Mr. Chris Hoornert, as the participant of delegation, would like to meet with the Managements of the leading organisations in Logistics Sector and as part of this visit, he desired to make bilateral meeting with the Management of BALO Buyuk Anadolu Lojistik Organizasyonlar A.S.
Mr Huseyin ISTEERMIS as General Manager of BALO, Mr Erkan AKSOY, Transport Manager, Responsible of Market Research and Development, Ms Selda YILMAZOGLU, and General Manager Assistant Ms Sevin AYTAC participated to the breakfast on October 20, 2012.
During the meeting the cooperation possibilities between Port of Antwerpen and BALO was discussed and it was determined that Turkey is the third country with its 10 million ton shipment volume after USA and UK. In addition, the Port Ambassador stated if BALO gives a start to transport shipments to USA and other countries through Antwerp Port in future, it will be able to benefit from the advantages of Belgium Port.
The Port of Antwerpen and BALO Buyuk Anadolu Lojistik Organizasyonlar Inc took a decision to continue mutual negotiations for developing cooperation.
